Heather Albrecht, Financial Coach

Heather Albrecht, Financial Coach

Hi, I’m Heather

Hi, I’m the creator and financial life coach behind Heather Albrecht Coaching. In my coaching practice I focus on helping women learn how to lead more fulfilling lives with less stress through better financial habits. I’m a business owner, a wife, a mother of two, a life long learner, and huge nature lover. I grew up in Vermont and am happy to still call Vermont home. I love to be outside mountain biking, gardening, sledding in the winter, and tubing down the river in the summer with my family. I approach both life and work with sincerity, heart, diligence, and compassion.

(one of my other passions is photography! I’m trying to mostly use my own images on this site, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!)

Passions Rooted in Experience

I was drawn to the work of financial coaching when I experienced a mental breakdown in 2016. It took awhile for me to feel like all of the areas of my life, including my own needs, were getting the amount of attention they deserved. Once my mental health was in a better place, though, I realized that financial stress had been a big driver of my mental overwhelm leading to the breakdown.

It had seemed like all of our personal life decisions revolved around the family finances, as if my husband and I weren’t in control of our lives, money was. I had taken on so much self-imposed responsibility that wasn’t mine alone to shoulder (and nobody had expected me to except for myself!). I felt out of balance from trying to be the best mother, best wife, best business owner, and best employee I could be... all at the expense of my own needs. After my breakdown, I realized that it didn’t have to be that way. I could get our finances on a better track that would allow us to be in the driver's seat AND drastically reduce my overall stress level.

What it’s like to work together

In my coaching programs, I help women to manage their household finances in a way that gives them ease of mind. They know that they are as prepared as they personally can be for what may come their way. I know that security is a huge factor in many women’s stress levels, so reducing financial stress allows my clients to relax and enjoy their lives more fully. We co-create a spending plan that incorporates their long and short-term needs and desires. No beans and rice budgets here! I make sure that my clients have planned for some fun spending in their plans because it’s all about BALANCE!

Let’s Connect

You can connect with me in my Facebook group Values and Money: a community for building better balance. Inside the group I love to have conversations with members about stress management, dreams and aspirations, and the elusive “balancing” act we all manage between our personal lives, our work lives, and remembering who we are and want to be amongst it all.

What My Clients Have to Say

“Working with Heather has given me the clarity and accountability I needed to get my head out of the sand with my finances. The way I choose to spend my resources began to change as soon as we had our initial meeting and the follow-up has helped me create a plan to take charge of my financial life and create a spending plan that reflects my values. If you are looking to wake up and take charge of your money, Heather is a great coach to partner with. She offers understanding and challenge to keep that growing edge, with creative strategies and solid resources. I highly recommend Heather Albrecht Coaching, you won't be sorry.“ - L.G.

“In general, I feel fairly competent in my finances, budgeting, and debt payoff plan. But when suddenly faced with prolonged unemployment and rapidly changing financial circumstances, Heather was an immense help and comfort. She talked me through my current debt payoff plan and how to amend and suspend some things for the time being. She made me feel less panicked about depleting my emergency personal and business savings funds which I saved up in case of situations like this. I ended our conversation feeling like I had a plan and some immediate steps I could take to make the best of a difficult situation. Heather is calm, compassionate, and gently funny, all helpful in this time!” - H.R.
